Wayan Wardika actively involves local farmers in conservation efforts, fostering a shared commitment to eco-friendly agricultural practices and biodiversity protection. The core mission is to conserve and regenerate firefly populations at Rumah Konservasi Kunang-Kunang by preserving their natural habitat in Taro village. Fireflies serve as bioindicators, and their presence reflects a healthy ecosystem. By encouraging farmers to adopt non-chemical, organic farming practices, the initiative helps reduce pollution and protect the delicate environmental balance essential for fireflies. The program educates both locals and visitors about the ecological role of fireflies, their declining population, and what can be done to help through workshops, outreach, and eco-tourism.
